Balancing the piece ended up being a matter of weight and color. In this case I went for 3 focal points. A strong, warm toned one weighting heavy to the right, and 2 sharp and contrasty others counterbalancing it. Will expand on a blog post!

¨The Age of Empires¨ is a real-time environment piece running in Unreal Engine 4, made for fun! It is mostly based on the Age of Empires 2 main menu screen, with my own changes and interpretation to it.

It has been a trip and a lot of fun working on this, especially with all the hype I'm building up for the new game in the series: Age of Empires 4.

I am planning on making a breakdown of my thought process on the composition planning for this piece. So stay tuned for that if interested :)
